I have had to replace my passenger door handle once and now the driver side has broken and needs to be replaced. The dealer told me they are on back order. Why? because they break all of the time. I see vehicles riding down the road with new handles on both sides of the car. What if I were being chased and needed to get into my car to stop someone from attacking me and the handle broke off in my hand. What if I were then raped or worse someone found me dead all because I could not get into my car. Someone needs to look into the defect of these door handles. This issue happened on Oct. 26, 2005.

The vehicle was a 1998 Chrysler Sebring. The VIN of this vehicle is 3C3EL55HXW_. While installing a css in the rear seat, the locking latch plate (made of plastic) popped apart and fell off. Since it no longer was locking, it becomes a sliding latch plate and would require a locking clip to ensure the css would stay in place. The service dept. Popped the piece back on. The locking latch plate is easy to pull apart. . . . Will this hold if there is an accident?.
